The Executive Chairman FCT Universal Basic Board Abuja.

Abdullahi Mohammed was appointed, the Executive Chairman of the Universal Basic Education Board (UBEB) of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja in January, 2023.

Until his appointment, he was the Director, Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Administration, member, Senate, and former Head of Department, Public Administration, of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi. He was also a chair and member of several committees of the University.    

Abdullahi hails from Keffi, Nasarawa State and obtained B.Sc. and Master Degrees of Public Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He later obtained a Ph.D. in the same discipline from Nasarawa State University, Keffi in 2014 where he spent almost two decades in teaching and research. Prior to his venturing into academics, Abdullahi worked at Prime Publicity, Media, and Publishing Company in its Abuja and Kaduna offices as Operations Manager.

He is a Fellow, Corporate Administrators & Secretaries Professional Institute of Nigeria and also the National Vice Chairman (North) of the Institute, Fellow, Institute of Security Operation and Management of Nigeria, Member, Research and Development Network of Nigeria and Associate, Certified Institute of Management of Nigeria.

Abdullahi is also a prolific resource person and consultant with experiences in Development Studies, Public Policy, Administration, Entrepreneurship, Governance, and Security Management. These are achieved based on his academic background and many professional courses he attended. His recent course at Lagos Business School (LBS) is not far-fetched. He has over sixty (60) publications to his credit including conferences, Journals, and textbooks.

He was at different times External Examiner to a number of Higher Institutions, and Editor, Journal of Administration and Policy Review. Convener, International Conference of Public Administration an annual event that featured prominently academics and practicing administrators to the famous City of Keffi.

Abdullahi is widely travelled and a seasoned badminton player, and a writer per excellence.
